My dog is afraid of passing cars, while she is on your foot?
I adopted a lab mix newfie about 3 months after the local kennel. She is now a little over 6 months old and is afraid of cars that drive when we are walking. Although she is not afraid to go for car rides in my car. I was told by the pound which is deep in the woods crying and laying next to his brother. His brother, who had been hit by a car was dead. I starting to believe she was also affected but not seriously injured. She has a scare on his head and a damaged rear foot, the injury she had when she was found. It does very well in his walks until a car passes so she wants to run back to the safety of our home. I changed the time to walk in the evening to early morning when there is less traffic, but there are still cars that pass us. Any suggestions on how I can help you understand that I will not let the cars that pass it hurt us and make it more comfortable when the cars we pass.
